Brown University athletics announced Wednesday they are naming Sarah Behn as the new head coach for the women’s basketball team.

Behn will be the ninth head coach in the program’s history. Behn previously served as head coach at UMass Lowell for three seasons and oversaw the team’s transition from Division II to Division I.

Behn also comes from a Brown legacy; her father Barry was a two-time letterwinner for the men’s basketball team from 1960 to 1962.

The women’s basketball team went 10 and 18 last season.
